Join us for a live taping and listening-room concert for AJS Presents: Jerry Espinoza Quintet! Jerry Espinoza - Saxophone Marcos Santos - Guitar  Ben Irom - Piano James Suter - Bass Joshua Berry - Drums Born and raised  in Laredo Texas, Jerry Espinoza has been playing saxophone since the age of 12 . At 14 years old he started gigging professionally at local churches and other venues / events around town .  Mr Espinoza holds a bachelors in music performance ( classical saxophone ) , masters in jazz studies and currently working on his DMA in Jazz studies at University of Austin Texas. He has performed alongside jazz greats Gerry Gibbs , Butch Miles , Jeff Tain Watts , Dave Weckl, Andre Hayward, Andy Langham, Audra Menconi, Terrance Blanchard, Terrell Stafford, Knower, Pete Rodriguez and Ralph Bowen just to name a few . In 2023 , he appeared on Gerry Gibbs most recent album “Family “ where he is a featured saxophonist.  Currently , Mr. Espinoza is a professional , top call musician around the Austin , San Antonio , and even Houston / DFW area, where he covers all kinds of genres from jazz , pop to even salsa music .
