Miguel Rodriguez Jr – Bass

Issac Smelcer Zhang – Guitar

João Camargo – Piano

Spencer Frye – Drums

Originally from Brownsville, Texas, Miguel arrived at Austin in the Fall of 2025 in pursuit of his master’s degree in jazz performance under the direction of Diego Rivera. Since then, he has quickly risen as one of the top call bassists in the Austin area and has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with local and national luminaries such as: Gerry Gibbs, Joel Frahm, Scott Robinson, Paul Deemer, Ruby Laks, Elias Haslanger, Andre Hayward, Aubrey Logan and Kate Kortum.

Please join Miguel’s debut show as a bandleader where he’ll share the stage with some of Austin’s best and brightest young artists.
