Carolyn Trowbridge is an Austin-based vibraphonist, percussionist, composer, and bandleader whose work blends jazz, Latin, Afrobeat, classical, and contemporary influences into a distinctive and deeply personal sound. 

An Austin Music Award recipient, Carolyn is a sought-after collaborator on the Austin music scene, performing with a wide range of acclaimed artists and ensembles while continuing to develop her own voice as a composer and storyteller.

She performs regularly with the Alex Coke & Carl Michel Sextet, Star Parks, Stop Motion Orchestra, and VAMP Vocals, and has collaborated with numerous artists and organizations, including Grammy-nominated Adrian Quesada, Black Pumas, Graham Reynolds, Mike Portnoy, and more.

In January 2026, Trowbridge released her debut album, Found Memories, a collection of original compositions inspired by life experiences, places, and personal reflections. The album received widespread critical praise, earning recognition in DownBeat magazine's "Top Albums to Vibe To" and drawing acclaim for its emotional depth and imaginative scope. The Austin Chronicle praised the recording, noting that "Found Memories beautifully showcases snapshots of a fulfilling life," while Exclusive Magazine called it "a masterfully sculpted debut album... a wondrous mood-swinging extravaganza for us to behold."
