An intimate duo set will feature some of Toninho’s greatest timeless compositions. About Alexander Claffy: At 30, bassist Alex Claffy has become one of the most in-demand musicians of his generation. Born in Philadelphia and now based in New York City, he carries forward his hometown’s storied bass lineage while balancing a prolific career as both bandleader and sideman, with four albums as a leader including Music From Big Orange. Claffy has performed with jazz legends such as George Coleman, Randy Brecker, and Louis Hayes, alongside contemporary voices like Nicholas Payton and Kurt Rosenwinkel, while also appearing with artists beyond jazz including Chris Botti, Veronica Swift, and Leslie Odom Jr. A frequent presence at New York’s premier jazz venues and festivals worldwide, he also teaches at the New School of Jazz and maintains a private studio of bass students. About Toninho Horta: A Latin GRAMMY Award winner and one of Brazil's most influential guitarists Toninho Horta is a cornerstone of the legendary Clube da Esquina, major voices across jazz, MPB, and fusion. Newly based between Brazil and New York, Toninho continues to connect generations - recording with artists ranging from rising talents to icons such as Ron Carter - while launching new projects like The Eternal Youth - a timeless dialogue between two musical worlds.
